Move that Body!

Our bodies weren't designed to sit at a desk all day in front of a computer. Our bodies weren't designed to sit on the couch all night in front of the TV. Our bodies were designed to MOVE.

I'm not just talking about going to the gym. I'm not talking about "exercise", a word that many of us dread. I'm talking about any and all movement. This includes walking the dog, dancing, running to catch a frisbee, playing tennis, lifting weights, chasing your children around the house and biking to work, just to name a few. You might even call it "exercise" or "working out". If those terms don't resonate with you, call it "movement" because that's essentially what you're doing.

Remember this: A sedentary body is not a healthy body.

"But I don't have TIME!" Sound like something you'd say? If you don't have 30-60 minutes to exercise or move that body of yours, then start with just 5-10 minutes per day. Now if you don't have 5-10 minutes to invest in your health, then this might be a good opportunity for you to assess how you're allocating your time each day. Remember, we all have the same 24 hours in a day. How much of that time are you going to put toward moving your body?
