Restaurant Recommendations in CA & NY

While I usually prep my own food at home, it's nice having someone else do the cooking for a change.

I've found that it's not as challenging or stressful to make healthy food choices when dining at restaurants that are dedicated to offering high quality, healthy foods.  I always leave these places feeling completely satisfied and content, not sick and stuffed.  

Below are some of my favorite healthy restaurants that I guarantee will tickle the taste buds of carnivores, vegetarians, junk food addicts, and everyone in between. If you try any of these places out, I'd love to hear about it!

Because I live in San Diego and visit New York often to visit my family, my recommendations are currently only from those cities. I won't add it to the list until I've tried it for myself!

These places fulfill the criteria below:

  • They use high quality ingredients (e.g. fresh, local, seasonal and organic)
  • They offer plenty of options for people with specific dietary requests (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free)
  • The food tastes delicious
  • I've eaten there myself (I can't add it unless I've tried it!)
  • I would go back
