Chocolate Blueberry Blast Smoothie

Hey Chocolate Lovers! I created this recipe especially for you. The protein and chia seeds will keep you satiated all morning while the cacao, banana, berries, and greens will provide you with plenty of nutrients and the energy boost you need to start your day off on the right track.

Chocolate Blueberry Blast Smoothie

Yields: 1 serving

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 cups water

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I like this brand)

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 3/4 banana (frozen)

  • 1/3 cup blueberries (frozen)

  • 2 handfuls spinach

  • 2 ice cubes (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender in the order listed

  2. Blend until smooth

  3. Enjoy immediately or save for later (note, if you save for later, smoothie will thicken due to the chia seeds which absorb some of the liquid...you'll also have to give it a little shake)
