Cherry "Ice Cream"
/This dessert is so good, it should be illegal.
I thought the original Banana "Ice Cream" was the best of the best, but that was before I discovered this delectable treat. I seriously thought I was eating real ice cream when I took my first bite. The taste and the texture is unreal!
Who would've thought there could be such a thing as a vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, guilt-free ice cream that tastes as good, if not better, than the real thing?
Make this for your friends and don't tell them what's in it. They'll love it! It requires only two ingredients (or three if you use the almond milk), no added sugars or sweeteners, and it's less expensive than a container of the artificial stuff. The good stuff CAN taste good. Give it a try!
Cherry "Ice Cream"
INGREDIENTS
- 1 frozen banana* (per person)
- 1/4 cup frozen cherries
- Less than a splash of almond milk to help blend (optional)
*Note: Before you freeze the bananas, peel them and cut into fourths. Freeze for at least a day (more days is better) before using in this recipe. [Read More: How to Freeze Bananas]
DIRECTIONS
Put frozen banana into food processor and blend until it reaches the consistency of ice cream. You may need to stop occasionally to scrape down the sides. Add the frozen cherries and blend until smooth. Serve and enjoy!

If you have a food processor, you have homemade ice cream. Below I've compiled all of my ice cream recipes to date. They are SO easy to make that you can whip up a batch of this healthy treat in less than the time it'd take to drive to the store and buy a pint of mucus-forming, belly bloating, frozen junk "food".
